I have been a family practice doctor since 1980. I did my premedical work at the University of Akron and went to medical school at the Ohio State University. After graduation, I was a resident in family practice at Canton Aultman Hospital for three years. Since that time, I have maintained board certification in the American Board of family medicine.
Following residency I served as a missionary doctor in Nepal in South Asia for 14 years. I then returned to the area to join Dr. Wages at Hearthstone Family Practice, where I have been since 1994.
I was born and raised in the Akron area. I am married with two grown children and two grandchildren. I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with my family. I am active in various Christian activities including my local church, Via de Cristo, and Bible study. I also volunteer once a month at the Faithful Servants free care Clinic.
